The weather in Laos is hot and humid for most of the year.
The rainy season is from the beginning of May to the end of September and the dry season is from October through April.
The best time to visit Laos is between October and February when it is dry and the weather is not too hot and humid. During the rainy season, the downpours are often fairly brief and can be bracketed by long periods of sunshine. Road travel in remote areas might be impossible.
River travel in November is the best. Between January and June, low water level can make navigating some rivers difficult.
