Myanmar Highlights

Day 01: Arrival - Yangon

Arrive Yangon and transfer by coach to the Governers Residence

 

Day 02: Yangon to Bagan
Transfer by coach to the airport for flight to BAGAN.  Arrive and transfer by coach to your hotel for 3 nights

 

 

Day 03 Bagan - Pony Cart / Boat trip to Kyauk Guu Min
Take a boat trip up river to Kyauk Guu Min explore the temples and monasteries from the Bagan  period.  Visit the archaelogical museum with its collection of bronze and lacquer Buddha  images.

 

Day 04: Bagan to Mandalay ( via Mount Popa)

Transfer by coach to Mount Papa. - an extinct volcano. Late afternoon continue your Journey to Mandalay, a scenic journey of varied agricultural landscapes and small villages. Arrive at Mandalay and stay for 3 nights.

 

 

Day 05: Full day trip to Mingun

Early morning excursion to the Mahagandayon.  Monastery  where more than a thousand monks live.  Take a boat trip upriver to Mingun, a village on the western banks of the Irrawaddy. Visit Mingun Bell and Mingun Pagoda

 

Day 06: Full day trip to Amarapura and Sagaing

Excursion to Amarapura, south of Mandalay -  the ancient capital of the Konbuang dynasty. Afterwards continue to the meditation city of Sagaing on the west bank of the Irrawaddy. religious retreat for Buddhistic studies.

Day 07: Mandalay to Heho / Inle Lake

Transfer to the airport for flight to Heho. Arrive and transfer by coach to Inle Lake for 2 nights at the hot spring spas at Kaung Dine

 

 

Day 08: Boat trip on scenic Inle Lake.
Take a boat trip on the Lake to see the floating gardens. Visit the village houses built on stilts         

    

Day 09: Inle Lake to Kalaw. Depart for the Pindaya Caves located deep within the mountains . These limestone caves are home to more than 6000 Buddha images .  Continue by road to the hill station of Kalaw with its fragrant pines for a 2 night stay

Day 10 :- At leisure

Day 11:- Return to Yangon for onward departure
