In the island of Bohol , nature has played one of her most fascinating wonders - hundreds of limestone moulds covered with thin grass have sprouted from the ground .  These turn brown during the dry season and look like "Chocolate Hills"

Day 1 - Manila

Arrival in Manila.  Reception and welcome at the Manila International Airport.  Transfer to the Dusit Hotel Nikko (or similar) for accommodation.  The rest of the day is free at leisure.

 

Day 2 - Manila

Buffet breakfast at the hotel.  Morning tour of the city of Manila, visiting Rizal Park, named in honor of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.  After a picture stop, proceed to Intramuros, the Walled City, and stop at Fort Santiago, an old fortress at the mouth of Pasig River.  From there drop by San Agustin Church and Casa Manila.  Crossing the Pasig River, drive by Quiapo district, the old downtown area, and the flower market, to Santo Tomas University, and the Chinese Cemetery, the mausoleums of which are larger than an average-sized house.  Return to the hotel at the end of the tour.  The afternoon is free for shopping and leisure in Ayala Center.    .

 

Day 3 - Manila to Tagbilaran / Bohol

Early buffet breakfast in the hotel.  Transfer to the Centennial Domestic Airport to take the Philippine Airlines flight for Tagbilaran.  Upon arrival, transfer to the Bohol Beach Club  for accommodation.  The morning is free to enjoy the beach and the facilities of the resort.  In the afternoon, take a short tour of Tagbilaran City.  Overnight at resort.

 

Day 4 - Bohol

American breakfast in the resort.  Full day tour of Bohol countryside visiting the centuries-old Baclayon Church, the man-made forest of Bilar, a traditonal blacksmith shop, and the Chocolate Hills, several hundreds of uniformly-shaped limestone hills that look like oversized chocolate drops in summer when the grass turns brown.  Proceed to Loboc town to board a boat for a cruise down Loay River, passing riverside villages, mangrove and nipa palm plantations.  A picnic lunch will be served on board.  At the end of the boatride, board waiting private vehicles and drive back to Bohol Beach Club for overnight.

 

Day 5 - Bohol

American breakfast and accommodation in the resort.  The day is free to enjoy the beach and the facilities of the resort, or for an optional tour.

Day 6 - Bohol to Cebu

American breakfast in the resort.  Transfer to the city pier to take a one and half hour ferry boat ride for Cebu.   Upon arrival in Cebu, transfer to Maribago Bluewater Resort (or similar) for accommodation.  In the afternoon, embark on a tour of Cebu, visiting the monument to the Filipino chieftain, Lapu-Lapu, the Basilica of the 400-year old Image of the Child Jesus, the shrine of the Cross of Magellan, the Spanish Fort of San Pedro, the fully-restored 17th century mansion called Casa Gorordo, the Taoist Temple, and the Carbon Public Market.  Rest of the day free at leisure.  Overnight at resort.

 

 

Day 7 - Cebu to Manila

American breakfast in the resort.  Free time on the beach until your transfer to the airport for your flight
