Southern Delights Wildlife Tour
Day 01 - Arrival Colombo
Arrive at Colombo airport in the morning for a day of leisure at the Galle Face Hotel or drive north to Giritale for 2 nights at the Deer Park Hotel.
Day 02 - Anuradhapura and Mihintale
Early morning tour of ANURADHAPURA visiting the Sri Maha Bodhi (a 2000 year old Bo Tree ) , the Runwanweliseya , Jetavanarama and Abhayagiri Dagobas. Afterwards depart for MIHINTALE , cradle of Buddhism .

Day 03 - Pollonnaruwa and Sigiriya
Depart for POLLONNARUWA the medieval capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th centuries Visit the Ruins of the Royal Palaces - Lankatilleke Viahare ,Thuaparama Image House , Gal Vihare and the Lotus Ponds.Proceed to Sigiriya for overnight at the Sigiriya Village Hotel . (or stay at the Kandalama Hotel )

Day 04 - Kandy
Early morning visit to the Rock Fortress built by King Kasyapa and see the famous frescoes .
Proceed to Kandy enroute visiting the Rangiri Rock Cave Temple at Dambulla and the Spice Gardens at Matale. Check in at the Mahaweli Reach Hotel for 2 nights. Evening visit to the Temple of the Holy Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha and also witness a Kandyan dance .
Day 05 - Kandy
Morning visit to Pinnewella Elephant Orphanage and sightseeing tour of Kandy including Lake Drive and a visit to the Arts and Craft Centre .
Day 06 - Nuwara Eliya
Morning visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya .Afterwards ,depart for Nuwara Eliya enroute visiting a tea plantation and factory. Check in at the Grand Hotel . Evening leave on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya for a drive through Little England .

Day 07 - Uda Walawe
After breakfast , depart via Bandarawela Belihul-Oya RestHouse for lunch . (optional stop at Diyaluma Water Falls ) Continue to Uda Walawe National Park Overnight at the Centauria Inn overlooking the Reservoir Chandrika Wewa.


Day 08 - Galle
Morning safari to observe the wildlife before proceeding via the Balutota pass to Galle, the colonial Dutch town with its well preserved 17th century fortress , enroute visiting Weligama to see the stilt fishermen, Weherehena & Waurukannala temples and the Buddhist temple at Dickwella . / or via Ratnapura to visit a Gem Mine and then onwards to your chosen South West Coast Beach Resort or Colombo airport for departure .
