DAY 1 LONDON TO COLOMBO
DAY 2 - COLOMBO - GIRITALE
Drive north via the A3 highway towards Marawila Visit the batik factories situated on the stretch of road between Marawila and Mahawewa. Afterwards proceed towards GIRITALE . 2 nights at the Angsana Deer Park Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of POLLONNARUWA the second capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th centuries visiting the Thuaparama , Gal Vihare and the Lankatilleke
DAY 3 - ANURADHAPURA
Morning tour of ANURADHAPURA visiting the Sri Maha Bodhi (a 2000 year old Bo Tree ) , the Runwanweliseya , Jetavanarama and Abhayagiri Dagobos.
DAY 4 - SIGIRIYA
Proceed to MINHINTALE , cradle of Buddhism , before continuing to Sigiriya . Overnight at Sigiriya Village.
DAY 5 - SIGIRIYA
After breakfast , visit Sigiriya , climb the Rock Fortress and see the famous frescoes . Overnight at the Sigiriya Village .
DAY 6 - FULL DAY TO WASGOMUWA WILD LIFE PARK.
Overnight at Sigiriya Village .
DAY 7 - SIGIRIYA TO KANDY via Dambulla and Matale
After breakfast , proceed to Kandy enroute visiting the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple and the Spice Gardens at Matale. Check in at the Mahaweli Reach Hotel for 3 nights accommodation.
DAY 8 - KANDY
Morning tour of Kandy , and a short visit to the Arts and Craft Centre. Afternoon free for shopping. Evening visit to the Temple of the Tooth and also witness a Kandyan Cultural dance performance. Return to the Mahaweli Reach for overnight.
DAY 9 - KANDY
Half day visit to Pinnawella Elephant Sanctuary
DAY 10 - KANDY TO NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast , depart for Nuwara Eliya enroute visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens . Check in at the Grand Hotel . A short visit will be made to the tea plantation and a Tea Processing Factory.
DAY 11 - NUWARA ELIYA TO UDA WALAWE
After breakfast , depart via Bandarawela Belihul-Oya Rest House .Continue to Uda Walawe National Park for 2 nights at the Centauria Inn overlooking the Reservoir Chandrika Wewa.
DAY 12 - FULL DAY UDA WALAWE NATIONAL PARK SAFARI BY JEEP
DAY 13 - UDA WALAWE TO HAMBANTOTA
After breakfast , depart for Hambantota VISIT BUNDALA NATIONAL PARK. Overnight at the Peacock Beach Hotel.
DAY 14 - HAMBANTOTA TO GALLE
Depart Hambantota for KALAMATIYA NATURAL BIRDS PARK. Afterwards proceed via the coastal road to Galle for overnight at the Lighthouse Hotel.
DAY 15 -GALLE TO KALUTARA
Depart Galle for Kalutara , enroute visit the Turtle Hatchery and departure or beach extension |
