2 Days/1 Night Experience Trek Mae Taeng Area     

Day 1: This trip begins in Chiang Mai, where pickup trucks arrive at the hotels to transport visitors to the region north of the city. The first stop will be at the Mae Malai local market to strike bargains with vendors selling a wide variety of products. A picnic lunch at a hot spring will provide some much needed energy for a 1.5-hour trek to the Karen Hill Tribe Village at Bann Pong Noi followed by a 2.5-hour trek to another similar tribe at Bann Pangpaka or Bann Mae Manai. After observing the local culture at this unique village, guests will enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations there. (L, D)

 

Day 2: After breakfast, guests will again travel on foot as they make a 1.5-hour trek to an elephant camp for a 1.5-hour elephant ride to the Lahu Hill Tribe Village to enjoy a delicious lunch and witness the fascinating local culture. All if this is a prelude to the ultimate adventure: a 3-hour bamboo rafting trip along the Mae Taeng River to the Shan Village with a few notable and interesting stops along the way. When the trip concludes, guests will be transported back to Chiang Mai. (B, L)

 

 

3 Days/2 Night Experience Trek Mae Taeng Area

Day 1: The adventure begins in Chiang Mai, where pick up trucks will arrive at the hotels to transport visitors to the region north of the city. The first stop will be at the Mae Malai local market to strike bargains with vendors selling a wide variety of products. A picnic lunch at a waterfall will be followed by a drive to the Shan Village at the Huay Nam Dung National Park. After observing the unique local culture at the village, guests will embark on 1.5 to 2-hour trek to the Karen Hill Tribe Villages in Baan Mae Jok. Dinner and accommodations will be provided at the village. (L, D)

 

Day 2: After breakfast, adventurers will set out for a 3-hour trek to an elephant camp, where lunch will then be provided before setting out on a 1 to 1.5 hour elephant ride through the forest to the Karen Hill Tribe Village in Bann Pa Khaolam. Again, guests will enjoy dinner and accommodations in another unique local village. (B, L, D)

 

Day 3: The day begins with breakfast before setting out on a 1.5 to 2-hour smooth rafting trip that features stops at another Karen Hill Tribe Village and a Lahu Tribe Village. Another rafting trip, this time to the Shan Village for lunch comes next before concluding the trip with a drive back to Chiang Mai. (B, L)

 

4 Days/3 Night Experience Trek Chiang Dao Area (AW-TREK3)

Day 1: Guests will be picked up from major hotels in Chiang Mai and be transported in pickup trucks to an area north of the city. The first stop will be at the Mae Malai local market to strike bargains with vendors selling a unique range of products before continuing to the Chiang Dao Caves, where a delicious lunch will be served. This is followed by a drive along the mountain roads before setting out on a 2-hour trek to the Lahu Hill Tribe Village where guests will enjoy dinner and accommodations. (L, D)

 

Day 2: Breakfast is important on this day, because afterwards, guests will embark on a 6-hour trek on the jungle trails to observe fantastic scenes of natural beauty. Along the way, lunch will be served at a nearby waterfall before the journey continues to dinner and overnight accommodations at the Lisu Village. (B, L, D)

 

Day 3: The day begins with breakfast and is highlighted by another challenging 4 to 5-hour trek up and down the forest hills. A jungle-style lunch will be provided, followed by a 1.5-hour ride by elephant to the Karen Hill Tribe Village in Baan Pang Kao Lam to relax, unwind and observe village life, enjoy fishing and swimming in the river or playing football with the local children. Day 4: In the morning, breakfast is served and ‘good-byes’ are said to the people of the Karen Hill Tribe Village before setting out on the final day of this fascinating adventure. This will be followed by an exciting bamboo rafting adventure, which promises plenty of thrills (and maybe a few spills). En route, guests will make a stop at a Shan Village to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and take in the interesting surroundings. The trip concludes with a drive back to Chiang Mai.
