Day 1: Guests will be picked up from major hotels in Chiang Mai and be transported in pickup trucks to an area north of the city. The first stop will be at the Mae Malai local market to strike bargains with vendors selling a unique range of products before continuing to the Chiang Dao Caves, where a delicious lunch will be served. This is followed by a drive along the mountain roads before setting out on a 2-hour trek to the Lahu Hill Tribe Village where guests will enjoy dinner and accommodations. (L, D)

Day 2: Breakfast is important on this day, because afterwards, guests will embark on a 6-hour trek on the jungle trails to observe fantastic scenes of natural beauty. Along the way, lunch will be served at a nearby waterfall before the journey continues to dinner and overnight accommodations at the Lisu Village. (B, L, D)
Day 3: The day begins with breakfast and is highlighted by another challenging 4 to 5-hour trek up and down the forest hills. A jungle-style lunch will be provided, followed by a 1.5-hour ride by elephant to the Karen Hill Tribe Village in Baan Pang Kao Lam to relax, unwind and observe village life, enjoy fishing and swimming in the river or playing football with the local children. Day 4: In the morning, breakfast is served and ‘good-byes’ are said to the people of the Karen Hill Tribe Village before setting out on the final day of this fascinating adventure. This will be followed by an exciting bamboo rafting adventure, which promises plenty of thrills (and maybe a few spills). En route, guests will make a stop at a Shan Village to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and take in the interesting surroundings. The trip concludes with a drive back to Chiang Mai. |
